Write Worthy Workshops!

Write Worthy Workshops are fun classes that provide enrichment and encouragement for the development of writing skills and writing-related arts. Most of these small group classes meet on Thursdays or Fridays (see dates listed with each class, below). We welcome kids who are eager to learn and work well in a group setting. Winter 2008-09

Effective Email
TO: CC: BCC: – Come see!  While email is a handy way to communicate, it’s also one of the more difficult forms of writing, as writers depend solely on words to convey a quick message.  The good news is, with a few simple tips, writing a clear and effective email message becomes easy.  Come learn the tricks, along with the ins and outs of common email fields and tools, in this exciting and informative workshop.
Grades 6-8; Thursday, November 20, 2:15-4:45; $30 per student

Holiday Bookmaking
The Holiday Bookmaking workshop is an annual tradition and a favorite at Write Worthy!  It’s a festive day, filled with historic crafts of paper marbling and bookmaking, as we create delightful books to give as gifts.  Students finish the class with five or more of their own handmade books, including fun mini-books for the tree and a high-quality blank journal for giving or treasuring as their own.
Grades 5-8/Ages 10-14; Friday, December 5, 9:30-4:00; $55

Heartwarming Thank You’s  
Come write your Christmas thank you notes with us!  We’ll make special cards and write notes of gratitude to those who have blessed us by their deeds and gifts this holiday season.  The class includes tips for writing effective thank you notes, making cards, addressing envelopes, and helping you getting a good start on writing your thank you notes.  (Bring a list of people you’d like to write to!)
