More About the Weekly Classes
Class Size
6 to 10 students
Time
Classes meet for two hours once a week, from September to May.
A full-year commitment is required.
Homework
About 2-3 hours per week
Parents work with students on homework.
Assignments are designed to assist home schooling families by providing parents with material and activities to work through with their children at home.
Location
Classes
are held in the classroom of our teacher's home, near Highway 26 and 185th Ave, in NW Portland, Oregon.
Are the classes right for us?
Classes are best suited for families where all of these apply:
• Christian home schooling family desiring instruction
based on Biblical principles
• Parents desire assistance with teaching writing at home
• Student is eager to learn and follow high expectations for
assignments and behavior in class
• A parent is available to implement assignments in home school lessons
• Family's schedule allows commitment to 2-hour class plus assignments; parents are able to bring and pick up students promptly at class time
• Student performs at or above average for their grade/age level (recent achievement test NP score 50 or above; performs well in group settings)
• Student looks forward to attending class and showing their best
effort in class activities and home assignments
